My Loud Crazy Crafty Life

I am a 30ish old Mommy to three girls all under 5, I spend my days running to preschool and kindergarten naps, diaper changes, baby food. Countless hours of Barney and Disney channel and in between I craft! If I get a bit of time to myself I create the things in my shop....it helps keep me sane.

Oliva Headband

I absolutely HAD to make the pretty headband to add the crocheted shoes. Together as a set or separate these are so cute! I added them to my etsy shop this morning.

I think I'll be making them to match the other shoe colors as well.

Last Minute Gift Idea

So it's December 23rd, at this point there's only a day and a half left to shop. I love the way everybody is going crazy trying to figure out what to get those last few peeps on their list.
A friend of mine said she only has to get one more gift and it's for her Dad and she is getting him a bonzai tree. I thought that is a GREAT gift, right?
For the most part it's the guys we have a hard time shopping for, girls we can figure out easy. So hopefully you all are all done christmas shopping and aren't one of those crazy peeps out at the mall right now (even though I went this morning) trying to figure out what to get that last person on the list.

I thought a bonzai tree would be a great gift so I'm throwing this suggestion out there. Happy Holidays!

On a search for White Chocolate Bark recipe

Last night we went to our annual group of friends christmas party. We had yummy yummy food and I had the most delicously delicious sweet treat. White chocolate bark. So I tried to find the wonderful cook that created this masterpiece, but that person was not there!!! Uggghhhh.
So I asked my friend who hosted the christmas party to "pretty please" find this recipe for me.
Until then (since I am not a patient person) I searched on foodnetwork.com and found these two recipes. Maybe I'll just try both of them and see if I can come close.
One is from Semi-Homemade Sandra Lee and the other is from the food network kitchens. Hmmmmm......I can't decide which I should try first?

Satin Fabric Flower Headband

This flower was so much fun to make. I had some lovely satin fabric in a vibrant dark pink, so I decided to make this flower headband. I attached a "shell like" circle center and a stretchy grosgrain ribbon. It looks adorable on my 8 month old. But I couldbn't get a good picture of her. Perhaps after nap time. I listed the headband in my etsy shop today.

Pancakes.................and cheese??

I absolutely LOVE pancakes, so when I saw this recipe it was a MUST share with you all. Surely, you love pancakes as much as I do right??? I don't think I've ever been to IHOP without ordering a ginormous (of course it's a word) stack of their marvelous pancakes. But I do enjoy making them at home too. And I'm going to say it out loud.....I love them with cheese!!! There got that off my chest, everyone thinks I'm a bit odd for the cheese on top of pancakes, but there is something marvelous that happens when you combine the sweetness of a pancake with the saltiness of cheese....mmmmmmmmmm yummy! You should try it sometime and tell me how you like it. So here is the recipe, please try it on a pancake making day.

Hannah Mary Jane Crochet Shoes

Finally completed the "Hannah" Mary Jane Crochet shoes. I do love this color. Perhaps I will make some other projects in the same color. I used a wooden rocking chair I painted years ago to display the shoes. The whole time I was taking pictures my 2 year old wanted to "help". So she moved it several times, I think I took 50 pictures before I could get a few that I thought worked out. I did promise her that as soon as I was done, she could have her rocking chair back to watch Barney. That allowed me about 5 extra minutes of picture time. I listed the shoes today in my etsy shop.

Just listed!!
I've been working on these shoes for the past 2 days and finally completed them. I must say I do like them quite a bit. These are actually going to be mailed to a very talented photographer and I can't wait to see the results. So excited! I will list them in my etsy shop since they are made to order.

On to the next project.

My first Blog!!

Okay, well not really my "first" I started one a while back, but didn't maintain it. So here it is!
I have so much going on with my kids and my craft I figure you can sit back and enjoy the craziness that is my life!

As for now, the kids are in bed (that was a challenge in it's own) so I will be crocheting until my eyes close.
